John ("Jack") W. Orton

Jack works in a variety of areas, including real estate, estate planning, business law, and general litigation.
During law school, Jack gained valuable and varied experience by clerking for a series of government entities including the Milwaukee County Corporation Counsel, the Milwaukee City Attorney, and the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. After law school, he worked as an investment banking analyst focused on mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to law school, Jack worked for U.S. Representative Thomas E. Petri (R-WI) in Washington, D.C. and then for a 501(c)(3), educational non-profit in Madison, WI. He earned his undergraduate degree after three years at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and one year at the University of Oxford in England. In 2021, he earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee.
A Mauston native, Jack joined the Curran Law Office in 2023, following the footsteps of his parents, Catherine and John Orton, uncle, William Curran, and cousin, Peter Curran.
