Primary Areas of Practice
Jay Englund focuses most of his practice on criminal defense.  He has handled hundreds of cases ranging from minor traffic violations to serious felony matters.  Prior to joining Curran, Hollenbeck & Orton, S.C., Jay worked in the Eau Claire County Public Defender's Office and at the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office which provided him with invaluable experience.  This experience along with his dedication to the practice of law has created a record of success which often results in favorable settlement offers, including outright dismissals.

Jay was recently recognized as a "Rising Star" in the 2008 edition of "Wisconsin Super Lawyers." Jay currently practices throughout the state of Wisconsin, appearing on a regular basis in Juneau County Circuit Court in Mauston, Wisconsin, Sauk County Circuit Court in Baraboo, Wisconsin, Columbia County Circuit Court in Portage, Wisconsin, Monroe County Circuit Court in Sparta, Wisconsin and Adams County Circuit Court in Friendship, Wisconsin.  If you are under investigation for a crime or drunk driving offense, or have already been charged with a crime or drunk driving offense, Jay will provide you with a brief but professional analysis of your case either over the telephone or in person at the Lake Delton/Wisconsin Dells law office.

The Personal Side
Jay especially enjoys fly fishing the many untapped streams in Juneau, Sauk and Vernon County. When not on the stream, Jay can be found participating in many other community and social activities.
